Fotoworkshop

Welcome to a photo workshop where you will learn how best to take night-time pictures and capture this year’s lighting installations on film. The course is i two parts. We start with a couple of hours of theory before we go outdoors to practice what you have learned. Photographer Gert Olsson, who has 20 years’ experience of nature and night-time photography will assist you during the wall, providing tips and advice to perfect your photography techniques. In the second part, we will review a number of images from each of the participants and discuss the results. You will also be given the opportunity to exhibit one or more of your pictures after the course.

Equipment

To get the most out of the workshop you should have an SLR. It is necessary to use a tripod for good results. A few tripods can be loaned, but if you have you own please bring it.
 
What you will learn during the workshop:
·Exposure time - how it all works
·Depth of field
· Iso = sensitivity - what to choose for best results
° Settings
· White balance - a way to control the colour temperature
· Long exposure times - what to consider when
• Use of tripod
· HDR images - a way to increase the contrast range of the image
What to bring:
· SLR
· Various lenses if you have any
· Frame and remote shutter release if you have them
· Warm clothes
· Flashlight

When?
The first part of the course takes place on Sunday, 9 October at 14:00 in Alströmerska Magasinet in Alingsås.
The second session is on Sunday, 16 October at 14.00 in Alströmerska Magasinet.
