About Alingsås
Alingsås is located in the Southwest of Sweden, by the lakes Mjörn and Gerdsken. With an attractive location and a growing number of inhabitants, which is about 38 000 today, the city is constantly changing. Yet there is an old imprint left on the city, often called "The wooden town". Over the years, it has retained its character of an idyllic small town with old buildings from the 18'th and 19'th century. The city is also known as the "Café Town" because of its large number of cafes and bakeries. In recent years, however, Alingsås increasingly attracted attention as "The City of Lights".
