Twenty years after the annual lighting festival was inaugurated, it is time for us to look back. This is the story of the event that put the town of Alingsås on the map, both in Sweden and internationally ✨

This unique photo book will be released October 1 and can be bought at Akademibokhandeln in Alingsås and on Lights in Alingsås website. From October 2 it can also be bought at Alingsås Energi´s reception desk. Happy Friday!💡🙌

Every year, students from the electricity and energy programme at Alströmer’s Senior High School @agymnasiet have an internship during Lights in Alingsås. In collaboration with Alingsås Energi and White Arkitekter, under the leadership of Andreas Milsta, the third-year students got to participate in a one-day workshop September 2. They got to learn more about the lighting design profession, work with luminaires and at the end of the day illuminate Färgeribron in Alingsås ✨💡

The world is different this year - and so is Lights in Alingsås. This year, the festival will focus on light and the local community. Lights in Alingsås will be illuminating the town in the October gloom and hopefully this autumn’s event will mark a positive re-start for the local community and the residents of Alingsås.
