<\/i><\/a>THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR 2026 opens on April 7.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

<\/i><\/a>Every year, 40 students from universities across the globe, travel to Alings\u00e5s to participate in the creation of Lights in Alings\u00e5s. By joining the workshop the students will have the possibility to take part in the whole process from conceptual design to a complete installation in only one week.<\/h4>\n

The student fee is estimated to 4200 SEK inc. VAT and the festival organizer and owner, Alings\u00e5s Energi offers the possibility for students to apply for a scholarship.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/a>WHAT IS INCLUDED?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jacket, gloves, water bottle, reflective vest, head lamp, giveaways, educational sessions, seminars, “camp standard” accommodation and a certificate.<\/em>
\nArrival:<\/strong> September 24 \u2013 afternoon\/evening
\nDay 1:<\/strong> September 25: (Seminar, day 1) \u2013 Light breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
\nDay 2:<\/strong> September 26 (Seminar, day 2) \u2013 Lunch
\nDays 3-7:<\/strong> September 27 to October 1 \u2013 Lunch
\nDay 8:<\/strong> October 2 \u2013 Lunch, dinner and party
\nDay 9:<\/strong> October 3 \u2013 Lunch<\/p>\n

Please note that the scholarship does not include travel and transport to and from Alings\u00e5s!<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/i><\/a>DO I QUALIFY?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1.<\/strong> The scholarship is intended for students studying design who have an interest in architectural lighting design.
\n2.<\/strong> Applicants must be students for the entire duration of the workshop and must not have graduated before the workshop begins.
\n3.<\/strong> Applicants must have a valid student ID for the entire duration of the workshop.
\n4.<\/strong> The workshop is an international event. As a participant, you must be able to communicate in English in the day-to-day work.
\n5.<\/strong> You must be prepared to actively participate in the group work throughout the entire workshop and share responsibilities with your group members.
\n6.<\/strong> Please note that an important part of the work \u2013 for obvious reasons \u2013 takes place outdoors, in the evening and after dark.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/a>HOW DO I APPLY?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Before applying, please make sure that you are able to travel to Alings\u00e5s and to stay in Alings\u00e5s for the whole workshop week period (Friday morning, September 25 to Saturday afternoon, October 3). Preferable arrival is Thursday afternoon\/evening, September 24.<\/p>\n

In order to apply for the scholarship, you write an application letter in English. You are welcome to send it by e-mail to: lights@alingsasenergi.se.<\/strong> The application shall include:<\/p>\n

1<\/strong>. Your personal information.
\n2<\/strong>. A description of your current level of education.
\n3.<\/strong> The duration of your education and your expected graduation date.
\n4.<\/strong> An explanation of how you would benefit from the scholarship.
\n5.<\/strong> What you are most looking forward to in the workshop.
\n6.<\/strong> Don\u2019t forget to attach a copy of your Student ID.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/a>HOW DOES THE SELECTION PROCESS WORK?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When selecting applicants, Alings\u00e5s Energi strives to get a fair mixture of students with different experiences, from different schools and countries.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/a>REMEMBER!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You have to be confirmed as a scholarship student by Alings\u00e5s Energi before you register<\/a> to the workshop.<\/p>\n

Final day to apply for a scholarship is April 28 (CET), 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n
