The lighting trail of 2026 will pass Nolhaga Park
The installations will be spread out along a 3.5-kilometre walk starting in Åmanska Park and the city centre, continuing down to Nolhaga Park via Lugnet. On the way back toward the city centre, guides and visitors will pass Sävevägen before heading out along Södra Ringgatan.
Six experimental light installations will be created during the intensive workshop week at the end of September. In addition, several other installations (“highlights”) will be created locally or brought in from elsewhere, all inspired by this year’s theme of love.
“It’s fantastic to return to Nolhaga Park again. It has been several years since we last had so many light installations there. Visitors will experience Nolhaga Castle in many different forms. The courtyard of the Town Hall and the Gardener’s Villa are locations that have never before been illuminated,” says Camilla Boström, Event Manager.
The opening ceremony will take place in Åmanska Park on Friday, 2 October, and will offer plenty of love and surprises.
The Lights in Alingsås workshop runs from 25 September to 3 October. The light festival will continue for 31 days, from 2 October to 1 November.
