Like planets in the universe 🌟🌏

Now there is only one week left to discover Floating Universe and the other 23 points of light that are scattered in Alingsås. Welcome! ✨

From the city center towards the lake Gerdsken, in several strategic places you will find this installation where you least expect it. With Pixel Highlights, the idea is to attract curiosity and movement. What lies ahead? Is there anything more to discover? The answer is YES ✨

The installation is created by Jan Simon who is also a designer of Floating Universe in Gerdsken together with Bertil Göransson ✨

Take a break, sit down for a while and warm up in the crackling installation Elden on Lilla Torget by Kajsa Sperling. Listen to the local voices about their thoughts on light and darkness 🔥

All people have the light present in their lives in different ways: the fire, the moonlight, the night sky, the sunlight or the light in the city. Elden becomes a place where we together can reflect on our own relationship to the light ✨

As organizer of Lights in Alingsås, @alingsasenergi has produced the book "Twenty light years from Alingsås". It is a photo book with pictures of all lighting installations from the last 20 years ✨

A large number of this year's installations we display are permanent lighting that Alingsås Energi has contributed to the city over the past 20 years ✨
A beautifully illuminated city increases the opportunity and desire to move on foot, by bike and by public transport. Sustainable lighting is much more than just saving energy. Lighting greatly affects the accessibility of a city. It is about security, equality and quality of life. The installations are scattered in Alingsås along footpaths, passages, tunnels, bridges and parks. You can find them marked as red numbers on the map in the brochure or in the Lights in Alingsås app ✨💡🤩

Through the theme "Find the Lights", we invite you this year to discover the bright spots in your everyday life and the 24 points of light that are located around Alingsås, on your own and in the order you choose. All 24 are marked on the map, but there are also surprises along the way! Have you discovered this one yet? ✨🤩

Have you seen the dancing ballerinas in Lillån?✨
Margaretha Stenmark, Lighting Designer at Alingsås Energi had a vision to create something magnificent across the river. Something that was reflected in the water and that got more life and movement in the wind. The idea of the ballerinas was born. Welcome to dance in the balloom you too! ✨

Who do you want to take a cozy autumn walk with during Lights in Alingsås? ✨💡

This permanent installation is presented by @alingsasenergi and @sparbanken_alingsas in cooporation with lighting designer Andreas Milsta - White Arkitekter💡

The bridge is framed by beautiful cast iron lanterns which connect the history of the place, both day and night. A gentle moonlight highlights the bridge's fine craftsmanship and the arched bridge is reflected in Lillån's water. The trees that surround the site are lit to create colored reflections in the water, which alludes to the river's importance for dyeing textiles in the past.

In everyday life, the lighting will be gentle and quiet. But on selected occasions such as during Lights or when AHK takes gold in handball, lighting will temporarily change. The lighting sequence is five minutes long during the festival, and if you listen really carefully you may hear the horse-drawn carriage rolling over the bridge ✨

Pga Covid-19 har vi i år inga ordinarie guidade turer, gröna vägvisare eller något ljuskansli för biljettförsäljning. Med den digitala kartan i appen hittar du lätt till årets 24 ljuspunkter - en mix av redan permanenta, nya permanenta och tillfälliga ljusinstallationer. Du börjar precis vart du vill och upptäcker dem i egen takt och ordning. Välkomna! ✨

Have you discovered Children's Lights - "Pink Sky" in Plantaget? ✨

This year, designer Malin Wallin wants to lift us up among the clouds on such a magical evening when the sky turns pink and a hot air balloon still floats forward. A balloon filled with all the colors of the rainbow as a symbol of diversity, respect and tolerance 🌈

On the flat sides of the clouds, young people have shared their thoughts about what makes them calm. There is also room for you as a visitor to share your own thoughts or greetings to those you love 😍
