1/10 Grand opening day of Lights in Alingsås 2021

More information will be announced in September.

1/10-7/11 Klockans Ateljéer and Gallery

In central Alingsås you can find Kv KlockansAteljéer and Gallery with 6 independent studios and 7 artists. The gallery shows the artists’ current work 1 Oct-7 Nov and is located right next to installation no. 6.

Opening hours: Sun-Thu 18-21 Fri-Sat 18-22. (Open studios if restrictions allow.)

1/10-7/11 Exhibitions at Nolhaga Castle

Welcome to experience local art and cultural history at Nolhaga Castle!

During the autumn, several new exhibitions are arranged at Nolhaga Castle, in the salons on the second floor. An elevator is available and the exhibitions are free to visit.

Open every day 11 – 16 and extra open Thursday, Friday, Saturday until 20 during Lights starting 1/10.

  • Technology in need and desire – an exhibition from Alingsås Museum at Nolhaga Castle (ongoing until further notice)

Discover the independent installation “The Box” outside Triumf Glasscafé entrance

From dusk to dawn 1/10-7/11 it is possible to experience a independent installation created by Sofia C Lindén and Arvid Blomgren who are creators and designers. Triumf Glasscafé is the sponsor of this lighting installation.

2-5/10 Photo exhibition

On Saturday October 2, Marcus Björkman’s 4-day photo exhibition will begin with a vernissage. The location will be the old Music School opposite the District Court on Gustav Adolfsgatan 7. It will be a relaxed atmosphere with nice music and a little to munch on. Come and look at large canvas paintings and get the chance to see the house again one last time before it is converted into apartments.

18-24/10 The Sustainability Festival in Västra Götaland

Alingsås theme is Agenda 2030

This year’s festival theme is anti-corruption, but as in previous years, it is free to arrange activities with other sustainability themes. Alingsås municipality has chosen Agenda 2030 as the theme for the activities the municipality arranges. During the week, we will have extra focus on disseminating and gathering knowledge and inspiration on sustainability issues, showing all the work that is going on linked to Agenda 2030 and how we can all together contribute to the transition to a sustainable society.
