Expanded collaboration between Alingsås Energi and Alströmergymnasiet in 2024

Along the light trail this autumn, visitors will get to see an installation directly designed and installed by students from Alströmergymnasiets Electrical- and energy program. The electrical students participate every year during the workshop. Third-year students help prepare the cabling and sound, and they also join one of the workshop groups, while second-year students assist during the dismantling week. This year, two entire classes from the third year are participating, as the program has become more popular and the industry is increasingly in need of electricians.

At the old Prästgården the students will have their light installation, and over the past few weeks, they have undergone various training sessions and preparations for what’s to come. Among others, Frida Almqvist from Alingsås Energi and Workshop Manager for Lights in Alingsås held a training in lighting design, while Henrik Nilsson (aka Nisse, aka Skywalker) led a practical training on “mounting instructions,” covering how equipment should be mounted for safety and to ensure the installation lasts throughout the event.

What do you think the students will create at Prästgården? Well, you’ll see in a few weeks in “The Magical World of Mythology.”
