Under dagen gästade @alingsasenergi s personal Programmets dag på @agymnasiet inför Lights in Alingsås 2026🔌⚡

Eleverna fick lära sig mer om ljusdesign, arbetsmiljö, hur armaturer och högtalare monteras säkert och hur utrustningen fuktsäkras. Det regnade en hel del under dagen, så de praktiska momenten utomhus fick förkortas något, men humöret hölls ändå uppe 🌧

🌹Årets Lights-bakverk är här!🌹
För tredje året i rad samarbetar @alingsasenergi med eleverna från Alströmergymnasiets @agrestaurangprogrammet , inriktning bageri- och konditori.

I år blir det en 🧁red velvet cupcake 🧁med salt kolakräm och en cream cheese frosting i form av en rosa ros, inspirerad av årets tema, Stories of Love.

🧁Hur kom ni fram till årets bakverk?
– Vi inspirerades av årets tema Stories of Love. Då passar red velvet väldigt bra då vi kopplar färgen röd till kärlek. Och dessutom är frostingen i form av en rosa ros som symboliserar romantik. Smakerna passar väldigt bra tillsammans. Den lena frostingen mot den salta kolakrämen i mitten tillför en extra dimension, säger eleverna.

🧁Berätta, vad är red velvet?
– Det är en amerikansk rödbrun mjuk kaka med smak av mild kakao oftast toppad med färskostfrosting. Den röda färgen uppstår när lite vinäger tillförs till kakaosmeten och det uppstår en kemisk reaktion. Vinägern ger ingen smak, berättar läraren Ellen.

📍Bakverket kommer säljas under invigningen av Lights in Alingsås 2 oktober i Åmanska parken, samt i skolans café i Utbildningens hus (Campus Alingsås).

"Alla ord finns!”
En av årets ljusinstallationer under Lights in Alingsås är poesipromenaden som är skapad under en workshop med Hemsjögårdens äldreboende.
✍✍
Poesipromenaden är ett koncept skapat av Olsson & Linder och består av en inkluderande workshop, där poesi skapas med hjälp av olika verktyg. Alla oavsett bakgrund eller förkunskaper är välkomna att delta.

Med konstnärlig gestaltning (ljusskyltar i olika färger, monterade på lyktstolpar) får deltagarnas texter en självklar plats i det lokala offentliga rummet, såväl dag- som kvällstid.

Resultatet blev cirka 30 skyltar som kommer att spridas längs slingan, främst i Nolhagaparken och visas från ✨2 oktober till 1 november✨.

Poesipromenaden genomförs tack vare bidrag från Bertil och Britt Svenssons Stiftelse för belysningsteknik.

🏰Nolhaga Castle🏰 is one of Alingsås' most popular tourist attractions and welcomes visitors all year round. Throughout several editions of Lights in Alingsås, the castle has been transformed in many ways.
✨✨✨
In September it is the Estonian lighting designer Mariliis Kundla who will illuminate the castle together with her team of international students. This is the first time Lights in Alingsås has a workshop head participating from Estonia.
✨✨✨
Mariliis is also an audiovisual artist and co-founder of Aether Lighting Design, Estonia's second independent lighting design studio. She has also led lighting workshops across Europe and been involved in Copenhagen Light Festival as both artist and curator.
✨✨✨
We can’t wait to see the result of the workshop later this fall!

Before we know it, our favourite season will be here, and we will once again welcome our workshop heads. Among the seven workshop heads this year are Andrea Mantello and Giusy Gallina.

Andrea last joined the workshop as a workshop head in 2011 and illuminated Plantaget Parc. This year, he is bringing his colleague Giusy to Alingsås so they can share the experience together – guiding a group of international students from an initial idea to a completed installation in just one week.

Facts: Andrea is based in Belgium and In 2014, he founded DERA.lighting, a studio working across architecture, product design, and urban lighting. Giusy is based in Italy and has more than 25 years of experience in lighting design. She serves as Partner and Technical Director at the comapny.

💡This year’s scholarship recipients have been announced!💡This autumn, Alingsås will welcome 40 creative students from around the world including Germany, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey, Colombia, Greece, Mexico, Spain, and India.

Together with our talented Workshop Heads:
Randall Fisher, Stephan Horn, Mariliis Kundla, Andrea Mantello, Giusy Gallina, Shoshanna Segal and Jose Cardona, they will collaborate to create six unique and experimental light installations that will bring the city to life, on the theme ❤️ Stories of Love ❤️.

✨ Nu släpper vi även årets slinga ✨
Installationerna kommer vara utspridda längs en 3,5 km lång promenad från Åmanska parken och centrum ner till Nolhagaparken via Lugnet. På vägen tillbaka mot centrum kommer guider och besökare att passera Sävevägen innan de går ut mot Södra Ringgatan.

- Det är jätteroligt att få vara i Nolhagaparken igen. Nu var det några år sedan sist vi hade så många ljusinstallationer där. Besökarna kommer att få upptäcka Nolhaga slott i olika skepnader. Rådhusets innergård och Trädgårdsmästarvillan är platser som aldrig tidigare varit belysta, säger Camilla Boström, evenemangsansvarig.

Lights in Alingsås workshop sker 25 september till 3 oktober. Ljusfestivalen pågår i 31 dagar från 2 oktober till 1 november. Årets tema är Stories of Love.

Nu släpper vi årets Lights-tema!
Temat blir 💞 Stories of Love 💞 och handlar om kärlek i alla dess former. Allt från den stora episka kärleken som vi läser om i böcker, till kärleken man har till familjen, vänner eller husdjuren.

- Vi lever i en tid då världen behöver mer kärlek. Vi vill överösa besökarna med kärlek så de går härifrån med en varm känsla i kroppen. Temat rymmer många olika perspektiv, så vi får se hur det tolkas under workshopen av våra ljusdesigners och studenter. Dessutom tillkommer flera olika extrainstallationer (highlights) som skapas lokalt eller hyrs in, också på årets kärlekstema, säger Frida Almqvist, workshopansvarig.

💞 Invigningen äger rum i Åmanska parken fredagen den 2 oktober och kommer att bjuda på massor av kärlek och överraskningar 💞

What an amazing Concept Meeting we had last weekend! ✨

The agenda included:

✨Planeringen pågår för fullt inför Lights in Alingsås 2026✨

Vi brukar säga att så fort vi har plockat ned den sista armaturen, så startar planeringen inför nästa års upplaga. Vilket stadie befinner vi oss i nu?

💡SLINGAN är nästan klar. Vi har kontakt med olika fastighetsägare och Alingsås Kommun för att hitta de bästa stråken och platserna att belysa.

💡TEMANAMNET är bestämt och vår byrå skissar nu på hur den grafiska designen.

💡ÅRETS LJUSDESIGNERS har blivit utvalda. I mars kommer de till Alingsås för att få reda på temat, slingan och bestämma vilken plats de vill jobba med samt ta fram ett koncept för hösten.

CALL FOR WORKSHOP HEADS 2026✨
Professional Lighting Designers are invited to become workshop heads through an application process (find out more in the link below).
💡
Six sites per year require a workshop head. Pairs (of two) designers may also apply but the costs and fees are divided.
💡
The leaders of the groups are chosen to represent diverse genders, ages, and nationalities, delivering a vital experience to the participants and the festival itself.
💡
Workshop heads use their wealth of experience to guide participants through the design process with sketches, photographs, hands-on mock-ups. and tests. This established educational method ensures an enriched and in-depth knowledge of the lighting discipline is taught thoroughly.

Workshop heads must commit to two on-site meetings in the city of Alingsås, Sweden:
